Changes Coming To Disneyland

For those that don’t know, Disneyland in California is my home park. I grew up 20 minutes away and I have been a annual passholder for over 20 years.

So when changes (good or bad) happen in the parks, I love to share and talk about them! At the D23 Expo in August 2015, it was announced that Star Wars land is officially coming to both Disneyland in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.

This was both exciting and scary news. Exciting because YAY! NEW STUFF! and scary because Disneyland only has so much room to build. Which meant in order to build something new, something old would have to be taken away.

It was announced last year that Disneyland would be losing the whole Big Thunder Ranch area. The BBQ, the petting zoo and the jamboree. I loved all of these places and will miss them dearly. Along with these things, there are big changes happening along the backside of the Rivers of America as well. This news in particular has been causing quite a uproar in the Disney community. Today they released a rendering of what the changes to this area will look like when it reopens in 2017! I must say that if it actually looks like this, I will be super impressed. It looks beautiful!

For anyone wondering what is happening to all the goats and animals from the Big Thunder Ranch Petting Zoo, have no fear, looks like they are all going to a great home! Plus, they are all going together and not being separated, which I love!

I will share more updates about all the changes happening in the parks over the next year as the info is released. I love seeing new things and I am excited for changes even though it is tough sometimes.

I would love to hear your thoughts on anything and everything at any time. Feel free to leave a comment. I love chatting!
